What unexpected good stuff comes from having media and creative closer together?

Aside from the more impactful, speedier and more resourceful outcomes, it also allows the different teams to learn from each other and master their individual crafts even further through greater appreciation of the possibilities and limitations of the other specialism.

What one thing do you wish agencies knew from your decade+ of time spent in house?

When presenting to clients make sure you are reading the room as much as you are reading the deck.  Even the most beautiful narrative can fall on deaf ears if the client isn't in the right frame of mind.

If you were to meet Yolande, 21 and entering the industry now.. what advice would you give her?

Dream big!!!  That Dime bar that got you into the industry is just the start.  

And then I'd read her my fave Steve Jobs quote "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.  And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.  If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle.  As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it."
